Walnut Tart Recipe 👨🍳
Walnut tart is a classic and comforting dessert, with a soft texture and a rich flavor that wins you over in every slice — perfect to accompany coffee or to shine on any special table.
Ingredients
6 eggs (yolks separated from whites)
80 g sweet potato starch
50 g ground walnut kernels
50 g ground almond kernels
60 ml plant-based milk
60 g coconut sugar
Egg custard (as needed)
Orange zest (as needed)
Icing sugar (as needed)
Walnuts (as needed)
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180ºC and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Beat the 6 egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside.
In a bowl, combine the 6 egg yolks, sweet potato starch, ground walnuts, ground almonds, plant-based milk, and coconut sugar, and beat for 1 minute.
Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the yolk mixture until a smooth batter forms.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smooth the surface, and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove the cake while still warm, turn it out onto a cloth, remove the parchment paper, and cover with egg custard and orange zest.
Carefully roll up the cake using the cloth. Let it cool, then dust with powdered sugar and decorate with walnuts.
