Shrimp Donuts 👨‍🍳 Recipe


These shrimp donuts combine a crispy texture with a succulent interior, creating a unique and easy-to-prepare appetizer. Serve with sweet and sour sauce for an extra touch of flavor.


Ingredients


500g cooked shrimp meat

2 cloves minced garlic

1 pinch salt

1 pinch black pepper

150g wheat flour

2 eggs

200g panko breadcrumbs

1 pinch oil

3 tbsp mayonnaise

2 tbsp sweet chili sauce

½ lime

1 pinch chives

1 pinch sesame seeds




Preparation


Start by finely chopping the shrimp meat and garlic cloves.


In a bowl, combine the chopped shrimp and garlic. Season with salt and black pepper to taste and mix well.


Prepare three shallow dishes: one with flour, another with beaten eggs, and the third with panko breadcrumbs.


With your hands, form balls with the shrimp mixture and then flatten them slightly. With your finger, make a hole in the center to create the donut shape.


Dip each shrimp donut first in flour, then in the beaten egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs, ensuring they are well coated.


Fry the donuts in hot oil until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Remove them and drain on absorbent paper.


For the sauce, in a bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the sweet chili sauce and lime juice.


Serve the shrimp donuts drizzled with the sauce.


Finish by sprinkling with chopped chives and sesame seeds.
