Kiwi Tart Recipe 👨🍳
Kiwi tart is a fresh and light dessert that combines a gentle sweetness with the vibrant acidity of the fruit, resulting in a perfect ending for any occasion.
Ingredients
1 package of shortcrust pastry
500 ml plant-based milk
150 g white sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
50 g cornstarch
5 beaten egg yolks
Kiwi slices, as needed
Icing sugar, as needed
Preparation
Line a tart tin with the shortcrust pastry, pressing it well into the sides, and prick the bottom with a fork. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 25 minutes, until the pastry is lightly golden.
In a saucepan, mix the plant-based milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cornstarch. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the cream thickens. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
Add the beaten egg yolks to the warm cream, stirring continuously to prevent curdling. Return to the heat and cook, stirring constantly, until you obtain a thick cream. Remove from the heat and let cool completely.
Pour the cooled cream over the pre-baked pastry base, smoothing the surface. Arrange the kiwi slices on top, distributing them evenly.
Bake the tart at 170°C for another 20 minutes, until the filling is slightly firm.
Let cool, dust with powdered sugar and serve the kiwi tart chilled.
