King Cake Pudding with Chocolate Recipe
Make the most of leftover King Cake and prepare this King Cake pudding with chocolate, a creamy and flavorful recipe. Watch the video and try this zero-waste dessert, ideal for serving on a special occasion.
Ingredients
800 g leftover King Cake
5 tbsp liqueur
150 g dark chocolate
4 medium eggs
2 tbsp sugar
3 packs cream
1 pinch powdered sugar
Preparation
Line a baking tray and arrange slices or pieces of King Cake, filling the bottom.
Drizzle the King Cake with your preferred liqueur.
Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and spread evenly over the King Cake.
In a bowl, crack the eggs.
Add the sugar and cream.
Whisk well until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous cream.
Carefully pour the cream over the King Cake in the baking tray, ensuring it is completely soaked.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes, or until the pudding is golden brown and firm.
Remove from the oven and, before serving, generously dust with powdered sugar to taste.
