Grilled Shrimp with Butter Sauce
This grilled shrimp with butter sauce recipe is simple and full of flavor, perfect for impressing at the table. Serve with a touch of lemon and fresh cilantro for an irresistible appetizer or a light main course.
Ingredients
4 jumbo shrimp
2 tbsp salted butter
50 ml olive oil
2 cloves minced garlic
1 chopped chili pepper
1 pinch salt
1 pinch lemon juice
1 pinch cilantro
Preparation
Start by preparing the sauce: in a saucepan, combine the butter, 40 ml of olive oil, the garlic, and the chili pepper.
Bring to a boil and set aside.
With scissors, make a cut along the shrimp, from head to tail.
Finish the cut with a knife, opening the shrimp in half lengthwise, without separating the halves.
Remove the vein (intestinal vein).
Season the shrimp with salt and brush with the remaining olive oil.
Heat a grill pan well and, when hot, grill the shrimp shell-side down for about 2 minutes.
Generously brush the shrimp with the sauce and cook for another 4 minutes over medium heat, until the flesh is opaque and cooked through.
Serve immediately, garnished with lemon wedges and fresh cilantro.
