Chocolate Salami Tart
This chocolate salami tart transforms a classic into an elegant and flavorful treat. With a crunchy biscuit base, it's an ideal chocolate dessert to accompany coffee or tea, or to surprise at the table with an irresistible presentation.
Ingredients
For the base:
120 g butter
150 g chocolate
180 g caramel biscuits
For the mousse:
200 g chocolate
6 tbsp water
100 g sugar
4 tbsp Irish liqueur
300 ml cream
For decoration:
½ pack crispy chocolate-covered balls
Preparation
Line a removable-bottom tart tin with parchment paper.
For the base, place the butter and chocolate in a bowl and melt in the microwave in short intervals, stirring constantly, until you obtain a smooth mixture.
Break the biscuits into pieces and add them to the chocolate and butter mixture, mixing well. Transfer this mixture to the prepared mold, spreading it evenly. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the mousse. Place the chocolate in a food processor and grind until you obtain a fine powder.
In a saucepan, combine six tablespoons of water with the sugar and bring to a boil until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Add this sugar syrup to the chocolate mixture in the food processor and mix until the chocolate is completely melted. Add the liqueur and mix again until well incorporated.
In a separate bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold the chocolate mixture into the whipped cream using a spatula until you obtain a smooth mousse.
Pour the mousse over the chilled biscuit and chocolate base and level the surface. Refrigerate overnight to set completely.
Before serving, decorate the cake with the crunchy balls as desired.
