 Apple and Plum Tart Recipe


A precious combination of wild apple and black plum results in this delicious tart, a must-try recipe for that special moment.


Ingredients


20 g butter

3 tbsp sugar

3 tbsp olive oil

1 medium egg

150 g flour

1 tsp salt

2 kg apples

0.3 dl water

1 cinnamon stick

8 dried plums

3 tbsp sugar




Preparation


Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).


Grease a tart tin with ½ tablespoon of olive oil. Sift with flour and set aside.


Using an electric mixer, combine the room temperature butter with the sugar and the remaining olive oil until you obtain a thick cream.


Add the egg, flour, and salt. Knead with your hands until the dough is soft and smooth. Wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.


Half an hour before using, remove it from the refrigerator. On a floured surface, roll out the dough with a rolling pin and line the baking pan with it.


Place a sheet of parchment paper on top and arrange dried legumes to press the dough down. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove and let cool.


In a saucepan, boil half of the diced apples in water flavored with the cinnamon stick. When the apples are cooked, remove from heat, let cool and puree. Set aside.


Peel and cut the remaining apples into uniform wedges.


Place the apple puree on the base of the pie and arrange the pitted and sliced ​​prunes on top (reserve three). On top, arrange the apple wedges and in the center the reserved prunes.


Sprinkle with sugar and bake for 20 minutes.
