English Cake Recipe
English cake is a classic homemade pastry, very simple to make. Moist and aromatic, with a touch of orange juice, it's perfect for breakfast or a snack. Try it!
Ingredients
200 g wheat flour
150 g sugar
3 medium eggs
100 g salted butter
1 tsp baking powder
100 g candied fruit
50 g raisins
1 tbsp orange juice
Preparation
Beat the eggs with the sugar until you obtain a creamy mixture.
Add the softened butter and beat. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour and baking powder.
Add the candied fruit and raisins. Mix everything together and add to the creamy mixture you set aside.
Add the orange juice and mix well again.
Place the mixture in a greased baking pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes.
