Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients:

For the Brownie:

175g unsalted butter

300g semi-sweet chocolate

5 large eggs

270g granulated sugar

100g all-purpose flour

45g cocoa powder (100% cocoa)

A pinch of salt

For the Hot Fudge Sauce:

2 cups chopped milk or semi-sweet chocolate

1 tablespoon butter

200g heavy cream

Instructions:

Prepare the Brownie: Melt the butter and 300g of chocolate together. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and sugars (granulated and brown, if using) on high speed for about 3 minutes until light and fluffy.

Mix: Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the eggs. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir gently until combined.

Bake: Pour the batter into a lined baking sheet. Bake at 190°C (375°F) for approximately 20–25 minutes until a crust forms on top, but the center remains. Let it cool before cutting into squares.

Make the sauce: Melt the 2 cups of chopped chocolate and 1 tablespoon of butter in the microwave. Stir in the heavy cream until smooth and glossy.

Assemble: Place a square of warm brownie on a plate. Top with a generic scoop of vanilla ice cream. Pour the warm chocolate sauce over the top immediately before serving.
