Cruise ships in Funchal bring nearly 4,500 people to the port
As reported by DIÁRIO, the Port of Funchal is receiving three cruise ships this Wednesday – the 'Seven Seas Voyager', the 'Marella Explorer 2' and the 'AIDAbella'. Together, they are carrying 4,448 passengers, reveals APRAM – the Port Administration of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
Traveling from Cádiz (Spain), the 'Seven Seas Voyager' entered the Port of Funchal at 6:30 am for a 10-hour stop, arranged by JFM Shipping.
The ship – which brought 655 passengers and 443 crew members on board – will depart at 4 pm for Santa Cruz de La Palma, in the Canary Islands, as part of a 10-day cruise that began on November 29th in Barcelona (Spain) and ends on December 9th in Lisbon. Funchal is the second stop on this trip, followed by La Palma, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote (all in the Canary Islands), Portimão and, finally, Lisbon.

Upon the arrival of the 'Seven Seas Voyager', the 'Marella Explorer 2' and the 'AIDAbella' were already in the Port of Funchal. The former is on a week-long cruise on the Cruise Atlantic Islands route, between the Canary Islands and Madeira, a stopover by the Ferraz Agency.
The ship is sailing with 1,742 passengers and 746 crew members, and departs at 2 pm, heading towards Santa Cruz de la Palma.
The 'AIDABella' will remain at Pier 6 until 6 pm. It has 2,051 passengers and 617 crew members on board, and is at the end of a 12-day trip through the Canary Islands, Morocco and Madeira. The stopover is the responsibility of Blatas, and the ship continues to Furteventura, where the trip ends next Friday.
Also in the city is the sailboat 'Santa Maria Manuela', which arrived this morning from Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canary Islands). Called at Transinsular, it is carrying 23 people (nine passengers and 14 crew members) and departs at 6 pm for Santa Cruz de La Palma.
The mega-yacht 'Spirit', handled by JFM Shipping, with 14 crew members, and the Norwegian training sailboat Christian Radich, with 72 people on board, are other visitors to the Port of Funchal.
The first departs in the early hours of Thursday for the Netherlands Antilles, and the second stays until Friday, when it heads to Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
