'Vista' Brings 1,000 Passengers for a Day in Madeira
The cruise ship 'Vista' arrived in Funchal this morning. It carries 1,796 people on board, including 1,038 passengers, reveals APRAM - the Port Authority of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
Sailing from Málaga, Spain, the 'Vista' is captained by the Italian Luca Manzi.
It will remain in Funchal until 6 PM, when it will continue its journey to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
During this 10-hour stop in Madeira, the ship is handled by JFM Shipping and will be accompanied by the 'Arcadia', which, with 1,917 passengers and 851 crew members on board, arrived in Funchal on Saturday and spent the night in port. It will continue its journey this afternoon to Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The 'Vista', built in 2023 at the Italian Fincantieri shipyards for Oceania Cruises, is currently on a repositioning voyage to the Caribbean. It departed Istanbul, Turkey on November 9th and, before arriving in Madeira, has already passed through Greece, Italy, Spain, and France. After Puerto Rico, it will continue to Miami, United States, where the cruise will conclude on December 3rd.
