Savoy Palace Madeira Wins Best Luxury Hotel in Europe and Portugal
In addition to Madeira and AP Madeira, which received awards yesterday at the World Travel Awards ceremony in Europe, the event also recognized the Savoy Palace as the best luxury hotel in Europe, in addition to already being the best in Portugal.
This is the fifth consecutive year that this Savoy Signature hotel has been recognized by the WTAs, making it the most recognized national hotel in these tourism "Oscars" in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and now 2025.
Furthermore, the five-star hotel in Funchal won the European luxury hotel award for the second consecutive year, having already won last year.
It is worth noting that the Savoy Palace holds the WTA award for the best luxury hotel in the world in 2024.
With these European and national distinctions, the first of which competed against 15 other properties on the continent and the second against 12 national properties, the Savoy Palace thus accumulates its 8th WTA award, competing this year for the 9th, as it is nominated for the best luxury hotel in the world, an award for which it is competing from a list of 17 candidates.
This European award took place in Sardinia, Italy.
