FEATURES
The Montado do Pereiro Forest Park is located within the Poiso Forest Perimeter, an area administratively covered by the parish of Camacha, municipality of Santa Cruz.
It is characterized by a rich biodiversity that, together with the mild climate at certain times of the year, makes the space extremely pleasant and eminently suitable for multiple uses from a social perspective.
We can find a huge diversity of forest species (trees and shrubs), both indigenous and exotic, with a predominance of large, mature tree species and areas where we can find recent plantations with species of great interest, such as a small stand of Madeiran cedar (Juniperus cedrus), leafy cedar (Clethra arborea), and sage-tree (Echium candicans), and a young stand of chestnut (Castanea sativa) and European beech (Fagus sylvatica).
In addition to several picnic areas with tables and benches, fountains, and fireplaces, the park also features a campsite, soccer fields, and a mini-golf course.
