 More than 4,000 people arrived in Funchal aboard the 'Celebrity Apex'

The 'Celebrity Apex' arrived in the port of Funchal today, inaugurating the ship's scheduled calls for this October. The ship carried 2,863 passengers and 1,318 crew members on an 11-day voyage that began on September 27th in Southampton, United Kingdom, and ends in the same port on October 8th.

According to APRAM, the ship is commanded by British captain Panagiotis Skylogiannis and arrived in Funchal at 7:00 am, coming from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It continues its journey at 4:00 pm, heading for the Spanish port of Vigo. Since setting sail from Southampton, it has visited Leixões, Lisbon, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and now Funchal. Vigo is the last port of call before the end of the voyage.

The next scheduled cruise port call for Madeira is the 'Spirit of Discovery,' on October 6th, next Monday.
