Shredded Beef with Tomato Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
To cook the meat:
250g shredded beef (see tips)
water
2 cloves garlic
1 onion (cut into 4 pieces)
salt
pepper
For the tomato sauce:
olive oil
1 onion
1 clove garlic
1/2 chopped red pepper
2 chopped tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
salt
1 bouillon cube
parsley
Preparation
Prepare the meat:
In a deep pot, place the meat and cover halfway with water. Add the onion and chopped garlic. Season to taste with salt and pepper. With the lid on, cook over medium heat for about 35 to 40 minutes (cooking time varies depending on the type of meat).
When cooked, remove it and let it cool. Reserve 1 cup of the cooking liquid. Shred the meat with a fork.
For the tomato sauce:
In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the finely chopped onion and garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent.
Add the chopped tomatoes and bell peppers. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
Add the shredded meat and 1 cup of the broth reserved from step 2. Mix. Add the bouillon cube, cumin, and paprika. Cook over low heat until the water evaporates. Finally, add the chopped parsley. Ready!
