 Orange Pie Recipe (easy and economical)


Ingredients


1 sablée pasta (broken or rotten)

5 eggs

120 g sugar

15 g cornstarch

2 oranges (organic for the zest)

20 g softened butter





Preparation


In a greased pan (or with parchment paper), place the sablée dough. Using a fork, poke small holes in it. Bake for 20 minutes at 350°F (180°C). Juice 2 oranges and zest 1 orange.


In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the eggs, sugar, and cornstarch. Add 1/2 of the juice and the zest. Mix with a whisk.


When the custard thickens, remove from the heat and gradually add the butter and the remaining orange juice.


Mix well and pour the custard over the top. Smooth the surface. Refrigerate for 1 hour.


It's ready. Decorate as desired. With orange slices, zest, or flowers.
