Tasty Chocolate Pudding Recipe ππ
Ingredients
For the pudding:
1 can of condensed milk (395g)
1 can of heavy cream (300g)
1 cup of milk
3 eggs
4 tablespoons of cocoa powder (or chocolate powder)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)
For the syrup:
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of water
Instructions
Prepare the syrup: In a saucepan, melt the sugar over low heat until it forms a golden caramel, stirring to avoid burning.
Add the water gradually, being careful as it may splatter. Stir until the lumps dissolve and a smooth syrup forms. Pour the syrup into a pudding mold (1).
Prepare the pudding:
In a blender, blend the condensed milk, cream, milk, eggs, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract (if using) until smooth.
Pour the mixture into the caramelized mold.
Bake:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Cover the mold with aluminum foil and place it in a larger baking dish filled with hot water (bain-marie).
Bake for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the pudding is firm (test with a toothpick; it should come out clean).
Let cool and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Unmold and serve:
Run a knife around the edges of the mold to loosen the pudding.
Place a plate over the mold and carefully invert to unmold.
Serve chilled.
