1/2 tablespoon dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/3 cup warm water
1 tablespoon olive oil
For the filling:
200 g cleaned shrimp (medium or large)
1 cup tomato sauce (preferably homemade or good quality)
200 g shredded mozzarella (or sliced)
1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
Chopped fresh parsley or basil (to taste)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional: oregano, olives, or sliced bell pepper
Instructions Preparation
Prepare the dough
: In a bowl, combine the yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add the flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a cloth and let it rest for 30-40 minutes in a warm place until it doubles in size.
Prepare the shrimp:
Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
In a skillet, heat the olive oil and sautΓ© the shrimp for 2-3 minutes (until pink, but not overcooked). Set aside.
Assemble the pizza:
Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a 30cm circle.
Transfer the dough to a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
Spread the tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
Top with the mozzarella, then arrange the sautΓ©ed shrimp, onion slices, and other optional toppings (such as olives or bell peppers).
Sprinkle with oregano and a drizzle of olive oil.
Bake
: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Garnish with fresh parsley or basil before serving.
