Ingredients


For the dough


(makes 2 medium pizzas)


: 500g all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon active dry yeast (or 15g fresh yeast)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon sugar

3 tablespoons olive oil

250ml warm water


For the filling:


300g ground or shredded pork (you can use leftover roast or cooked pork)

200g tomato sauce (or tomato passata)

200g grated mozzarella cheese

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, crushed

1 bell pepper (optional, cut into strips)

Oregano to taste

Salt and black pepper to taste

Olive oil for sautΓ©ing

Optional: olives, corn, basil, or other ingredients of your choice Preference


Instructions


Preparing the dough: In a bowl, combine the yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

Add the flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a smooth dough forms.

Knead for about 10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Cover with a cloth and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.





Preparing the filling


In a skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil and sautΓ© the garlic and onion until golden brown.

Add the ground or shredded pork. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano. Cook until the meat is cooked through and browned (if using ground pork) or heated through (if using shredded pork).

If desired, add paprika or other optional ingredients and sautΓ© for another 2-3 minutes. Set aside.


Assembling the pizza:


Preheat the oven to 220°C.

Divide the dough into two parts (for two medium pizzas) and roll each into a disc, about 0.5 cm thick.

Place the dough on a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.

Spread a layer of tomato sauce over the dough.

Spread the braised pork over the sauce.

Top with mozzarella cheese and add oregano and other optional toppings, such as olives or basil.


Bake


Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.


Serve:


Remove from the oven, cut into slices, and serve warm.
