Delicious Walnut Cake Dessert 😊😍


Walnut Cake


Ingredients (8 servings):


For the cake


: 200 g chopped walnuts (or coarsely crushed)

3 eggs

1 cup sugar (180 g)

1/2 cup vegetable oil (120 ml)

1 cup all-purpose flour (120 g)

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

1 pinch salt

1/2 cup milk (120 ml)





For the topping (optional)


: 100 g melted semisweet chocolate

2 tablespoons heavy cream

Whole or chopped walnuts for garnish


Instructions:


Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a round cake pan (20-22 cm in diameter) or line with parchment paper.

Prepare the batter: In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes with a mixer or 5 minutes by hand). Add the oil and milk, mixing well.

Include the dry ingredients: Sift the flour, baking powder, cinnamon (if using), and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring gently with a spatula. Finally, fold in the chopped walnuts.

Bake: Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before unmolding.


Topping (optional)


Mix the melted chocolate with the cream until a smooth ganache forms. Spread over the cooled cake and garnish with walnuts.

Serve: Cut into slices and serve as a dessert with coffee or tea. Can be served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra touch.


Tip: For a more intense flavor, lightly toast the walnuts in a skillet before using.

If you prefer a moister cake, add 1/4 cup of orange juice to the batter.
