🥣 Madeiran Wheat Soup😊🍷
Main ingredients:
250 g of pounded wheat (soaked overnight)
300 g of lean pork
420 g of butter beans
Various vegetables: carrots, sweet potatoes, potatoes, yellow pumpkin, pimpernel, leek, green cabbage and red cabbage
Garlic, onion, olive oil and salt to taste
Approximately 2.5 liters of water
Preparation method:
The day before, season the meat with garlic, onion and salt, and leave in the refrigerator. Soak the wheat in water.
The next day, cook the wheat with water and salt. Steam the vegetables and the meat separately.
Mix everything in a large pan with the previously drained beans and more boiling water.
Let it rest for 30 minutes to enhance the flavors.
Serve piping hot!
