Cake, Fig Recipe π
Ingredients
4 dried figs
2 tablespoons of honey
150 g of flour
125 g of sugar
120 g of unsalted butter
3 medium eggs
1 tablespoon of baking powder
Butter and flour to grease the pan
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a loaf pan with butter and sprinkle with flour.
Cut the figs into medium slices. Melt 20 g of the butter in a frying pan, add 1 tablespoon of sugar and the figs. Let caramelize for 5 minutes and set aside.
Beat the remaining butter with the sugar for 3 minutes. Add the eggs one by one, beating well.
Add the sifted flour with the baking powder. Add the honey and stir.
Pour half of the batter into the pan, distribute the caramelized figs and cover with the remaining batter.
Bake for about 30 minutes. Let cool before unmolding.
