 Shrimp bobo


Practical recipe, typical of Bahian cuisine based on shrimp and cassava.


Ingredients


1 kg of cleaned shrimp

1/2 kg of cassava

1 small glass (200 ml) of coconut milk

Spices:

garlic, salt, palm oil, ketchup, parsley, chives, bay leaves, pepper





Preparation


Cook cassava well.

Chop into very small pieces and sauté in olive oil. Add a little water and let it cook until almost all the pieces have broken up.

Separately, sauté the shrimp in olive oil and season with garlic, salt, parsley, chives, pepper, bay leaves and ketchup until it turns pink.

Let it cook for just three minutes and mix in the cassava. Bring to a boil and then add a small glass of coconut milk.

Boil a little more and, just before turning off, add palm oil (or olive oil) to taste. Mix and serve.
