Onion frittata, the quick-to-prepare Italian omelet!
Ingredients
4 eggs
1 onion (medium size)
15 g grated parmesan
olive oil
salt
pepper
Preparation
Step 1 - !Peel and cut the onion into very thin slices using a mandoline or knife.
Step 2 - Heat a frying pan with a little olive oil and add the sliced onion. Sauté for 10 minutes over medium heat until translucent (about 10 minutes).
Step 3 - In the meantime, beat the eggs and add the parmesan, salt and pepper.
Step 4 - When the onion slices are translucent, distribute them evenly in the frying pan and pour the beaten egg mixture on top. Cover and cook over low/medium heat for about 7 minutes.
Step 5 - Check if the edges come away easily and turn the frittata over. Step 6 - Now without the lid, let it cook on low heat for 4 to 5 minutes.
Step 7 - Enjoy!
