How to make crispy onions in the oven
Crispy onions, that crunchy and tasty side dish that elevates any dish, have now become a healthier and easier-to-prepare version: baked in the oven. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, simply serve them with hamburgers, tacos or other types of sandwiches. If you prefer them as an appetizer, you can also serve them. Ingredients
1 kg of onions (6 small units or as much as you want)
3 tablespoons of wheat flour (or cornstarch)
1 teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoons of paprika
olive oil
Preparation
Step 1 - Start by peeling the onions.
Step 2 - Cut them into small, uniform pieces using a mandoline or sharp knife.
Step 3 - First, place the chopped onions in a bowl. Then, season with salt, paprika and olive oil. Finally, add the flour.
Step 4 - Mix well until smooth.
Step 5 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and evenly distribute the chopped and seasoned onions. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 6 - Serve the crispy onions in sandwiches or salads, as an appetizer or as a side dish for main courses. Enjoy!
