Find out when a kiwi is ripe

Having trouble knowing when a kiwi is ripe enough to eat? Press your thumb lightly on the kiwi with the skin on. If the texture is too soft and the mark of your thumb extends, it is because the fruit is already very ripe. On the other hand, if the pressure of your thumb does not make any mark, then the kiwi is still too green. Try the thumb test at home!

How to peel a kiwi

A very practical way to peel a kiwi is with the help of a glass. Cut the kiwi in half and pass each half through the glass, placing the edge of the nozzle between the skin and the flesh of the kiwi. Another technique involves cutting the ends of the kiwi, making a cut in the middle (without separating it into halves) and passing a spoon all the way around between the skin and the flesh.
