Wheat Soup Recipe🙂😊


Wheat soup is a comforting and nutritious option, perfect for colder days or for those looking for a healthy and tasty dish. Below is a delicious and easy-to-prepare recipe.


Wheat Soup Recipe


Ingredients:


1 cup of wheat grains

2 liters of water

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves of garlic, chopped

2 medium carrots, chopped

2 medium potatoes, chopped

1 stalk of celery, chopped

1 tomato, peeled and seeded, chopped

1 bay leaf

1 vegetable broth (optional)

1 tablespoon of olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped parsley to finish





Preparation:


Wash the wheat grains thoroughly and soak them in water for at least 2 hours. Then, drain and set aside.


In a large pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until golden.


Add the carrots, potatoes, celery and tomatoes. Sauté for a few minutes.


Add the drained wheat, vegetable stock (if using), bay leaf and water.


Let it cook over medium heat for approximately 40 minutes or until the wheat and vegetables are tender. If necessary, add more water during cooking.


Adjust the salt and pepper.


Remove the bay leaf and serve the soup hot, finishing with chopped parsley.


This soup is perfect to serve with homemade bread or toast. Wheat grains give it a delicious texture and a feeling of fullness, in addition to being rich in fiber and nutrients.
