6 ways to clean your burnt pan without much effort
Here are some tips:
1. Detergent
Put water and a little detergent in the bottom of the pan. Boil it. When it cools, scrub it with a brush or steel wool.
2. Water and Salt
If the bottom of the pan is only slightly burnt, remove the rest of the food, wash it with very hot water, detergent and a sponge.
Then, put hot water and two tablespoons of salt in the pan. Mix and wait at least 15 minutes. Scrub with a brush or steel wool.
If the bottom is still burnt, add more water and salt and let it boil. Wait for it to cool before scrubbing again.
3. White Vinegar
For stainless steel pans:
The white vinegar should cover the bottom of the pan. Boil for about 5 minutes. When it cools, scrub with a sponge.
4. Tomato Sauce
Tomato sauce helps remove burnt sugar residue from the bottom of the pan.
In a pan, add water until it covers the burnt part. Add two tablespoons of tomato sauce.
Boil. The burnt part should come off while boiling.
5. Baking Soda
Not recommended for aluminum and Teflon pans:
Sprinkle baking soda on the bottom of the pan. Add one tablespoon of water. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove the mixture and wait for it to cool before cleaning.
6. Bleach
If none of the above methods worked, there is also the bleach method. But be careful. When bleach boils, it releases toxic gases, so protect yourself (with gloves) and open your windows.
Cover the burnt part with water and add bleach. Boil the pan for 5 minutes. Let it cool and scrub with a sponge or steel wool.
