The Power of Vinegar
1. Toilet Bowl
To disinfect your toilet bowl, simply pour a cup of vinegar into it and let it sit for an hour. After this time, use the brush to remove the residue and flush.
2. Disinfectant Solution
Since vinegar is a natural antibacterial and is non-toxic, we can use it on keyboards, remote controls, tables and many other objects. So, to disinfect your home (even the floor), dilute 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water. Use wherever there may be germs.
3. Clogged Drain
No caustic soda for your clogged drain, use vinegar too. Do this in this order: Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda directly into the drain and then 1/2 cup of vinegar. Wait until it foams. When it subsides, pour 1 liter of boiling water. Remember: this operation can be repeated as many times as necessary or until the clog is unclogged.
4. Clean the refrigerator
First, empty your refrigerator and remove the shelves and drawers, which will then be washed in the sink. To do this, use: 1 new sponge + 3 tablespoons of white vinegar + 1 tablespoon of strained lemon juice + 1 liter of water.
After applying this mixture with the sponge, rinse under running water and dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.
To clean the walls of the refrigerator and/or freezer, use the following recipe:
Ingredients: 1 liter of water + 2 dessert spoons of baking soda + 2 tablespoons of lemon vinegar
How to make it: Soak a sponge in this mixture and apply it to the refrigerator, using the softer side of the sponge. Use a dry, lint-free cloth to dry and that's it! You can put the food back in the refrigerator without worrying!
5. Reduce dust mites
Mites can be reduced by using the following solution. Mix: 3 liters of water + 200 ml of white vinegar. Apply with a sponge to mattresses or pillows (do not soak). Leave to dry in a well-ventilated place until completely dry. Remember: we should change pillows every two years.
6. Remove residue
That glue residue (adhesive) can be removed with vinegar: Clean the surface with a cloth soaked in a solution of vinegar and water.
7. Soften odors from carpets and rugs
In addition to dry cleaning (spread baking soda on the carpet and then vacuum it), we can also use vinegar to eliminate odors more deeply. To do this, mix 1 liter of water + 3 tablespoons of vinegar. Then, with the help of a sponge or cleaning cloth, apply to the surface. Rub gently. Finish by wiping with a dry cloth. Remember: in this case, do not dry in the sun.
8. Also remove stains from fabrics
Mix: 1/2 cup white vinegar + 1/4 cup baking soda + 3 cups water. Spray on stained clothing before washing (by hand or washing machine). Recommended for white items.
9. Also washes your hair
Believe it! To remove residues that shampoos and conditioners leave on our hair, losing its shine, dilute: 2 tablespoons vinegar + 2 tablespoons lemon juice + 3 cups water. Wash your hair as usual and after washing, pour this mixture on. Rinse normally with water. The smell will not be strong in the hair. This procedure also helps to close the cuticles.
Another tip
This is for your diet. Vinegar can restore green leaves that have wilted. To do this, soak them in a bowl with 2 cups cold water and 1/2 teaspoon vinegar.
