Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

3 ripe bananas, mashed (the riper they are, the sweeter the cake)

1/3 cup melted butter

3/4 cup brown sugar (or regular sugar, but brown sugar gives it a special touch)

1 large egg, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of salt

1 1/2 cups wheat flour

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, but recommended for extra flavor)

Step by Step:

Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a loaf pan (the rectangular, loaf-style pan) with a little butter or oil and flour, or line it with parchment paper to make it easier to unmold.

Mash the bananas in a large bowl using a fork or a potato masher until they are very soft and without large chunks.

Add the melted butter to the bananas and mix well. Then add the sugar, beaten egg and vanilla extract. Mix everything until well combined.

Incorporate the dry ingredients: add the baking soda and salt to the batter, mixing well. Then add the wheat flour and ground cinnamon (if using), mixing gently until there are no more traces of flour, but do not overmix so that the cake is soft and fluffy.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Tap the pan on the counter to eliminate any air bubbles and level the batter.

Bake for approximately 50 to 60 minutes, or until the top of the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (this is essential to ensure that the cake is fully baked in the middle).

Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before removing from the pan and transferring to a rack or plate to cool completely.

Extra Tips:

For an extra touch, you can add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the dough, which adds a unique texture and flavor.

Serve in generous slices, which are delicious plain or with a little butter.

This Banana Bread is perfect for a special breakfast or afternoon snack, maintaining a moist texture and strong banana flavor.
