Invisible apple cake, easy recipe
A dessert that will melt in your mouth, with the fruit that you can find everywhere, at all times of the year: the Apple! And why is it invisible? Because the apple is cut so thin that when it is mixed into the dough, you no longer know what is dough and what is an apple.
Ingredients
1 kg of apples
2 eggs
30 g of sugar
100 ml of milk
25 g of melted butter
70 g of flour
3.5 g of chemical yeast
Preparation
Mix the eggs and sugar in a container, then add the milk and butter. Sift the flour and yeast and add to the mixture.
Peel the apples and cut into very thin slices.
Mix the apples into the dough and pour everything into a greased pan. Bake at 200ºC for 45 minutes. (Don't hesitate to cover with aluminum foil - shiny side facing the cake - if the top of the cake browns too quickly).
Once cold, remove from the mold, cover with icing/icing sugar to decorate and serve =)
Tips and Advice
- To make it easier to peel the apples, use an apple peeler, if you don't have one you have to use a knife and it will take a little longer.
- To cut them very thinly, use a kitchen mandolin (vegetable slicer). In addition to saving time, you will have regularity in cutting the apples.
- Choose apples that can withstand cooking, such as the Gala variety
- The shape should preferably be rectangular, with a diameter of 24 cm, but if you use round shape, there's no harm.
- If you think there's something missing to add flavor to all this, you can always make a syrup to accompany the cake. The caramel and chocolate flavors will be incredible.
