 How to make spinach and cheese omelet Recipe


Ingredients


200 g fresh spinach (or frozen)

4 eggs

20 g grated cheese (parmesan or pecorino)

olive oil

2 cloves garlic

salt

pepper





Preparation


Step 1 - Place the spinach in a sieve and wash it with water.

Step 2 - In a frying pan, add a dash of olive oil and sauté the chopped garlic. Then add the washed (or frozen) spinach. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 3 - When ready, drain to remove excess liquid.

Step 4 - Chop the spinach into pieces. Set aside.

Step 5 - In a bowl, beat the eggs. Season with salt and pepper. Add the cheese and mix until smooth.

Step 6 - Finally, add the spinach. Stir for the last time.

Step 7 - Heat a dash of oil in a frying pan. Put the omelette in the oven. Let it cook, covered, on medium/low heat, for about 15 minutes.

Step 8 - Check the doneness. If the bottom part seems well cooked and does not stick, turn the omelette over (use a plate if necessary).

Step 9 - Leave it on the heat, covered, for another 3 minutes (or until cooked).

Step 10 - Enjoy!
