Ham Ball Recipe
Ingredients
500g plain flour
10g baker's yeast
100ml warm water
1 teaspoon fine salt
60g butter at room temperature
300g ham
olive oil to taste
3 eggs
Preparation
1. Place 100ml of warm water in a glass and mix in the yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
2. In a mixer, gradually add the eggs to the flour and salt. Then add the water and yeast.
3. Then add the softened butter at room temperature and the olive oil, and mix for about 5 minutes until it forms a ball.
4. Place the dough in a bowl and cover, let it rest for 30 minutes.
5. Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
6. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough into a rectangle and start to arrange the meats, in this case ham. Then fold it over.
7. Place a little olive oil and flour on the bottom of a baking tray and then brush the ball with 1 egg yolk. Place in the oven for 15/20 minutes, until golden and crispy.
8. Remove from the oven and leave to cool on a rack.
