 Delicious Leek Pastries


Ingredients


500g boiled potatoes (peeled, boiled in salted water and cooled)

1 chopped onion

1 chopped garlic clove

5g of soaked Wakame seaweed

2 leeks cut into very thin strips (only the white part)

4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs

Olive oil

Salt to taste

2l of oil





Preparation


1. Drain the 5g of wakame seaweed well in a colander. Chop it and set aside.

2. In a pan with olive oil, sauté 2 leeks cut into very thin strips (only the white part), season with salt and pepper. Remove to a bowl and let cool. 3. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher, add the cooled leek, chopped wakame seaweed, chopped onion, chopped garlic and salt. Gradually add 4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs. Mix everything very well.

4. Heat a frying pan with 2 liters of oil.

5. Form patties using 2 tablespoons and fry them until golden brown. Dry them on kitchen paper to remove excess fat.

6. Serve hot as a starter.
