Vegetarian Burger with Herbs and Spicy Ketchup Recipe

Ingredients

1 package of GARDEN GOURMET Vegetarian Burgers

4 hamburger buns

200 g red onion, cut into rings

400 g potatoes for frying

50 g chopped lettuce

100 g grated carrot

65 g cucumber, cut into slices

1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander

1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint

2 tablespoons olive oil + olive oil for frying

salt to taste

FOR THE SPICY KETCHUP SAUCE:

4 tablespoons ketchup

1 teaspoon hot cayenne pepper

Preparation

Mix the ketchup with a little cayenne pepper, heat for a few minutes and let cool. In a frying pan with a tablespoon of olive oil, heat the burgers over low heat for about 2.5 minutes on each side. Set aside.

In the same frying pan, with another tablespoon of olive oil, lightly brown the onion rings.

Peel, cut and fry the potatoes in plenty of olive oil and season with a little salt.

Toast the bread, split in half.

Spread the bread with the spicy ketchup. Fill them with lettuce leaves, carrots, cucumber slices, the burger, the onion rings and sprinkle with some herbs.

Serve with the fries.

Tip: You can also add a few drops of Tabasco sauce to the ketchup to make it spicier. The mint should be chopped last so that it does not oxidize and turn black.
