Creamy Christmas Cupcakes
Ingredients
8 marron-glacé
1 pear
5 eggs
20 g butter
100 g flour
100 g sugar
3 tbsp cream
100 g dark chocolate
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 220°C.
Preparing the cake batter: melt the butter with the dark chocolate in the microwave for about 2 minutes.
In a bowl, mix the egg yolks, keeping the egg whites, the sugar and then the flour. Add the melted chocolate. Beat the egg whites until stiff and carefully mix them into the batter.
Spread the mixture on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes.
Let it cool and cut the cake into Christmas tree and star shapes using a pastry cutter.
For the filling: break the marron-glacé into small pieces. Wash the pear and cut it into small pieces.
In a bowl, melt 120g of caramel chocolate in the microwave for 2 minutes at 500W. Leave to cool and then add the pear and the marron-glacé.
Spread one of the cut pieces (Christmas trees and stars) with the mixture made in the previous step and then place a second piece with the same shape on top.
Melt the remaining chocolate in another bowl to decorate the Christmas trees and stars and then add sprinkles, confetti, etc.
