Caramelized Pork Loin Delight
Ingredients
800 g pork loin
60 g sugar
250 ml water
2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
1 tsp seasoning (4 spices)
(1 tsp ground ginger)
1 stock cube
Preparation
Step 1 - Cut the loin into not-too-large pieces. Sauté quickly in a pan with hot oil, enough to brown all sides of the loin, but the meat should remain red/raw inside.
Step 2 - In a tall pan, add the sugar and a little water. Do not mix and leave on high heat until caramel forms (be careful not to burn it).
Step 3 - Add the rest of the water at once: the caramel will harden quickly, so mix well until smooth. Now add the stock cube, sweet soy sauce and spices. Stir.
Step 4 - Finally, add the loin pieces. Leave on high heat for 30 minutes, stirring regularly so that the loin does not stick to the bottom. The amount of sauce should decrease in the last 10 minutes.
