 Roasted duck recipe in the oven 🦆🦆 😊😊


Ingredients:


1 whole duck (approximately 2 kg)

4 cloves of minced garlic

1 large onion, sliced

2 oranges (juice and zest)

1 lemon (juice and zest)

2 tablespoons of honey

4 tablespoons of olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh herbs (such as rosemary and thyme)

1 cup of chicken stock or white wine





Preparation:


Prepare the duck: Clean the duck well and remove the entrails. Dry with paper towels.


Seasoning: In a bowl, mix the garlic, salt, pepper, orange and lemon juice and zest, honey and olive oil. Spread this mixture inside and out of the duck, making sure it is well seasoned.


Stuffing: Place the onion slices and some herbs inside the duck to add flavor.


Roast: Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the duck in a roasting pan, add the chicken stock or wine to the bottom of the pan and cover with foil.


Cook: Roast for about 1 hour. Then remove the foil and roast for a further 30-40 minutes, basting the duck with the juices from the pan every 15 minutes, until the skin is golden brown and crispy.


Finish: When the duck is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 75°C, remove from the oven and let rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.


Serve: Serve with sides such as roast potatoes, rice or salad.


Tip: For a beautiful presentation, garnish with orange slices and fresh herbs.
