Red beans vegetarian cheeseburger 🥪🥪
Ingredients
For the red beans vegetarian patties:
4 ounces canned red beans
1 onion
1 garlic clove
some water
1 Tbsp flour
2 Tbsp oat flakes (optionnal)
1 tbsp ketchup
For the cheeseburgers:
2 burger buns
2 cheddar slices
1 tomato
1 onion
4 pickles (gherkins)
4 lettuce leaves
mustard
ketchup
Preparation
In the blender bowl, put the red beans, the peeled onion and garlic clove, and a little bit of water. Mix well.
Put in a bowl, add all the other ingredients and combine.
Heat some oil in a pan (more than you would do with a regular burger). Put 2 stacks of the red bean mix in and shape them into burgers.
Cook for around 8 minutes on medium heat. If it is not cooked enough, it will crumble. Turn them over and cook for 5 minutes.
Thinly slice the onion, the tomato and the pickles. Cut the burger buns in half, and grill its inner sides on a hot pan.
Spread some mustard on the bun bottom. Put some ketchup and one slice of onion.
Put your red bean burger on it
Put the slice of cheese on it, then a tomato slice and some pickles.
Finish with 2 leaves of lettuce, and put the top of the bun on it. Use a wooden stick to hold it together.
